- 2 pounds fire roasted tomatoes
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.

- Stir in the fire roasted tomatoes, vegetable broth, salt, pepper, and sugar.
